God speak to me

GOD SPEAK TO ME...

The man whispered, "God, speak to me." And a meadowlark sang.

But, the man did not hear.

Then the man yelled "God, speak to me." Thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you." And the stars shined brightly.

But the man did not notice.

And, the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle." And, a life was born.

But the man did not know.

So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here." Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.

But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

This is great! And it is what is happening to us everyday!

God comes to us, speaks to us and helps us in many ways.

But we refuse or fail to see it!

It reminds me of the story of the devout Rabbi, who was stuck in his house in the midst of a raging storm. The water started rising. It covered his entire first floor. He came out and climbed on top of the parapet. A boat came by. The boatman yelled, "Hop on! It is going to get worse!" The Rabbi said, "No thank you! The Lord God will save me."

The boatman shrugged and moved on. The water rose further. He was struggling with the water up to his neck. Another boat came by. The boatman yelled, "Hop on! It is going to get worse!" The Rabbi said, "No thank you! The Lord God will save me." The boatman shrugged and moved on. The water rose further. He climbed on to the roof of his house. All he could see from his vantage point was just water! A helicopter came hovering by. The pilot yelled, "Catch the rope and climb up!" The Rabbi said, "No thank you! The Lord God will save me." The chopper moved ahead. The water rose further, and the Rabbi was killed.

He confronted God and yelled at him, "Why Lord! I trusted you so much with my life! I have sung your prayers day and night! Then why didn't you saver me?" God replied, "I sent you two boats and a helicopter! But your refused their help! You did not trust.

God speak to me!
