Some of the benefits of Rajyoga Meditation are:

Makes The Hypothalamus Healthy:

The hypothalamus is a small part of the brain, centrally situated, very close to the soul and related with emotional and mental functions. The practice of Rajyoga meditation influences the hypothalamus and harmonizes its neurochemistry. Centers for the control of the endocrine system and nervous system are situated in the hypothalamus. Once the neurotransmitters and neurochemistry of hypothalamus becomes healthy, all internal bodily organs like the heart, lung, stomach, kidney etc., also function harmoniously. The equilibrium (balance) of the hypothalamus is disturbed because of several conscious or unconscious negative emotions in the mind. Relaxation response, as it is known medically, is not sufficient to change these emotions completely.

Helps In Mind De-programming And Re-programming:

Most of the physical and mental diseases are caused due to wrong programming of our mind. Rajyoga Meditation helps to de-programme (remove) those negative belief systems and value systems. Moreover Rajyoga also re-programmes it positively.

Dissolves Dissatisfactions:

Human beings can be compared to a pressure cooker. When the pressure in the pressure cooker increases the safety valve starts operating. Hence the extra pressure is reduced. Due to various dissatisfactions and conflicts our mental pressure also increases. Human beings don't have any safety valve hence many physical diseases develop due to the mental pressure. A particular person will suffer from a disease which depends on the weakness of a particular organ in his body. During Rajyoga meditation practice one receives the love of all relations from the Supreme Father or Supreme Soul, hence suppressed dissatisfactions are removed. This is possible because Rajyoga is not based on any physical practice but it is the technique of spiritually tuning one's mind and intellect towards the loveful and peaceful remembrance of the Supreme.

Transforms Attitudes:

Transformation of attitudes which is vital for stress management is not possible by most physical yoga techniques, which focus more on the body. Uniqueness of Rajyoga meditation is that it immensely contributes to the transformation of attitudes. Deep understanding of the 'Self', 'Supreme Soul', 'Laws Of Karma' etc., are very much necessary for attitudinal change. Research studies have suggested that positive attitudes can help overcome even dangerous diseases like cancer.
